Volunteers working with children and youth under age 18 are required to undergo a routine background check. Although you may sign up online so that an appropriate staff person may contact you, a face to face meeting is required to begin volunteering in this area.
 
Volunteers are needed for the following positions in Youth Ministries (please sign up using the form at the bottom of the page):
 
Small Group Leader – mentor small groups of youth on weekly basis through Bible study, prayer and accountability
 
Small Group Assistant – assist the Small Group leader

Sunday School Teacher – teachers enjoy working with youth and sharing God’s love with them. Teachers are needed to teach Sunday mornings at 9:45 and 11:00 a.m. Curriculum is provided.

Sunday School Assistant – needed to assist Sunday school teachers

Substitute Sunday School Teacher – no specialized skills required, just a love of youth and a willingness to fill in from time to time as needed

UMYF Volunteer – a team of committed Christians whose primary focus is the sharing of God’s love with the youth as they assist with Junior High or Senior High youth fellowship on Sunday evening, as well as other activities.

UMYF Program Topic Leader – invited to lead a program for Junior High, Senior High, or both. They are placed on the calendar according to the topic they will lead and their availability.

Youth Administrative Help – assist youth staff with common office tasks

Special Event Chaperone – join the youth as they travel on mission trips and other activities. If you like to travel with lots of teenagers and like to build relationships, this is for you!

Youth Service Projects Assistant – needed for various opportunities for the youth. If you would like to help mentor our youth and work alongside them, we need your help!

Use of Swimming Pool/Home – for planned, informal fellowship opportunities

Use of Pickup Truck/Van – as needed for transportation

Driver for Special Events/Trips
– someone who is available to drive a group of youth to and from a special event or trip destination

Prayer Warrior Team – needed to pray for our youth, for individual youth prayer concerns and for our youth programs and staff. It can be done from your home or with us on Sunday nights during UMYF and during the week.

Youth Fund Raiser Assistant (Share Sale) – adults who are organized and like to raise money are needed to help coordinate the Youth Share Sale

Afterglow Host
– parents of current youth group members who wish to have the Jr. High youth or Sr. High youth come to their home from 7:00-8:30 p.m. on a Sunday evening after UMYF for extra fellowship time and refreshments
